Paper Pumpkin Dupe

Pulling out and working on Paper Pumpkin is when I  just want something easy. When I    open a box, start making the projects, I quickly become inspired.  I  find myself making alternative projects in no time flat.  Wether I'm using past Paper Pumpkin with new, or combining it with current Stampin'Up! products.  I love the creativity Paper Pumpkin opens up for me.  One of the Paper Pumpkins I  really love is the "Gift of Fall" from August 2019.  I  bought several and have the add ons.

I have a Facebook group called, "Crazy Paper Pumpkin Patch".  On that page I    encourage my demo friends and customers to post their finished Paper Pumpkin boxes or alternative projects.  I    was so excited about pulling out last years box and wanted to share what I  had created.  In doing so, I    mentioned that the"add ons" were still available in the clearance section.  After posting this, I    found they had sold out.  I  felt terrible, so I decided to show how to make one of the backgrounds with current Stampin'Up! products.  Here is the video below.

I was so excited to make this video for you!  It's so easy!

What are some of the things you've been able to make using this or other Paper Pumpkins?  You can share them here in the comments below or on my Facebook page, "Crazy Paper Pumpkin Patch".

Find everything I used to make this card in the video in the links below.

The measurements for the cards:

So many things going on!  What a great time of year summer and that means camping.  We went to Seward, Alaska this weekend, which is one of our favorites. We always visit the Sea Life Center.  What an amazing place.  I'll post some pictures down below if you'd like to see some of our pictures there.

Another one of our favorite things to do is play games while camping.  I was inspired to pull out the Game On stamp set and make a video.

Best Dressed Designer Series Paper

I  can't tell you enough how much I love this paper.  It's one of my favorites.  Just look at all these elements you can cut out from it.  Then on the other side is a beautiful floral pattern.  Love, Love!

Cutting these out ahead of time really makes designing cards a snap.  Want to know how I cut them out?  I used my Brother Scan and Cut!  This machine is so fun to use with my Stampin' Up!. I  really only use it to cut out my designer series paper.  You don't need this machine.  Simply just use your snips to cut them out.  Everything used to make this card is listed below.  Enjoy!

Last week we had my daughter's birthday.  Because of the mandates here in Alaska, we were unable to have a party with her friends.  My friend arranged for all the kids to be on a Zoom call together, so they could sing her Happy Birthday.  It was super sweet and it made her feel so good.

Her grandparents came over and we had a great party.  Aubree made up her own games.  First we had a "How well do you know me" game she made up.  We answered various questions about her, she had come up with.  Her dad and I  were almost tied, with her dad winning by just a few points.  She also made up a scavenger hunt around the house and time us to see which team would be the fastest.  Dad's team won again.  LOL!

She is not a big fan of cake, so she ordered from the kitchen of Renfro(our house kitchen lol!), a chocolate chip cookie, ice cream cake.  Mission accomplished via Pinterest.  lol!  All her decorations used were passed decorations I   kept from various parties.  I    picked up the llama party supplies from Target a year ago.  For the banner, I  just used the napkins and hung them over a previously used flamingo banner.  For dinner/lunch she requested we make fresh ravioli.  That was fun too!  Since were had llama decorations, I  thought I would make her a card with a llama on it.  She loves shaker cards, so that was a must.  I    will be making a how to video on how to make this card soon.

Hello my friends!

My goal of blogging 3 times a week has defiantly not been happening.  Now that I'm back to a somewhat normal routine, I can hopefully get back on track.  My grandson went home last week, so I  will find myself in my craft room in-between homeschooling my youngest more often.
Yesterday I was able to pull off a team meeting via Zoom.  It's nice to have these ladies in my life.  Keeps me sane and happy.  We had a Make and Take that some of us stayed on to complete, while the others had to go.  Here's what we made.  They are such fun cards and I  love all the fun folds on them.
That is all for now.  If you would like to know how we made these, let me know.  All the supplies used are listed at the bottom of this page.  If you'd like to join my team you can click the button on the side right side of the screen.  Thanks for visiting!

My sanity!

I'm so sorry in advance that this blog post is all over the place.  I'm so rusty with my writing skills.  With that I'm sure everyone is feeling the craziness of the these times.  I myself feel a little upside down not only because of the virus, but because everything happening in my family.  It's been a hard 6 months. Sorry for being so vague.  All though we try to keep going as usual, it sometimes harder than others.  Trying to focus on the good things is key.
I understand all that, but here are some of my concerns with this virus.  Having my youngest home from school and trying to figure out how she will continue to get the education she needs is going to be a challenge. Thinking about when and if my oldest will be able to travel to get my grandson and hoping she is safe while traveling.  Being supportive with my husband and all the challenges he faces to keep our business afloat.
So far we have a roof over our head and food on our table, which is the most important thing.  Everyone is healthy and safe.   We will get through this.  In the mean time, I will keep being supportive and try to hold it together.
We've been told as demonstrators to stay positive and be a safe positive place for people to turn to.  I'm good with that, since paper crafting is my therapy too.  I've really wanted to provide that for people all along, so consider this the last post about the virus for my sanity and for yours.
Stay tuned for some fun projects to keep you busy in future blog posts

Cookies, Cookies, Cookies

                                                          My Cookie seller!

My daughter has been busy delivering her Girl Scout cookies and selling at a cookie booth.  We made thank you cards for the people who preordered.  Giving the thank you notes to people was something they didn't expect, but really appreciated. They were super simple to do and if you have a "Thank you" sentiment, you really can use any stamp set you have.  We ended up cutting pieces of Whisper White card stock down to 6" x 3" and scoring it at 3".  These fir perfectly in the 3"x3" envelopes I  get from Stampin' Up!  These are only some of the ones we made.  We made a ton!  If you want to know where I  get my supplies, I've provided a link below.

She set up a booth at school and sold a ton all on her own.  I was so proud she took the initiative to set it up herself.  There are so many benefits to selling GS cookies.  She learns how to count back money, customer service, character building, inventory tracking, and so much more.

My cute little grandson helped too!  He loved helping and the benefits of getting treats while doing it.    All in all it was fun.

Life is a fragile thing

Due to a family tragedy, I  was unable to go to the Valentine's Retreat I was preparing for. Family comes first always.  I  was able to still get my grandson from my oldest daughter.  He came home with us for a couple of weeks while they make a move from one state to another.

We took him on his first snow machine ride and he saw his first moose.

The moose had been hanging around the house.  She's a young cow moose, maybe a year.  It has been snowing and snowing.  I  think it's the deepest I've seen in years.  Plus this winter has been way more cold than it's been before.  I  think it may be hard for her to find food because of this.  Although we often have moose in our yard, so who knows.

So sorry everyone for not explaining right now what we are going through, I will maybe in time.  In the mean time, I  will be continuing to keep up with my paper crafting and sharing my projects, as it provides a lot of therapy for me.

Giant Card For A Giant Cause

A simple, but HUGE card today!  This card is made from a sheet of 11" x 8.5" card stock scored down the middle of 11" side.  Quite a bit bigger then my usual A2(4.25" x 5.5") size card.  A lot of room was required due to the amount of signatures.

A combination of several Girl Scout troops got together and raised money to help the kangaroos affected by the Australia wildfire.  My daughter is a member of one of these troops, so I made a card for them to add their signatures too.  My friend (troop leader) was all too excited, because she knew from coming to some of my classes, I  had the perfect stamp set.
I love this card, not just because of what it's for, but because it was so simple to make.  The sentiment was made using the Make A Difference stamp set.  If you ask me, it is a must in your stamp collection.  When you don't have the sentiment you want, you can easily make it using these letters.

Have a great day and I'll see you later!

Oh My Sweet Valentine Retreat!

I'm getting ready for a great time with other Stampin'Up! demos including my up line and team mate.  We're meeting in California to attend a Valentine theme retreat with lots of stamping to be had.  I  look forward to these times.
This will be my first time attending an event like this.  I'm hoping to get an insight on how one of these are run, so that I  can try and master one of these myself.  Most important I'm looking to have fun with people who share the love of being creative.

Part of the fun includes making gifts for others who attend.  I opted out of the card swap and decided to just focus on the gifts.  My friendvcame over and with her help we were able to make 70 of these cute little goodie bags.

Here are the measurements for the chapstick holders.

Base is 4"x 2"
Score at 5/8" on all sides
Designer Series Paper cut at 3" 1/2 x 2" 3/4
Score at 3/4", 1"3/8, 2"1/4, 2" 7/8
